Mr. Jones is a graduate of Dickinson College
(B.A., 1969) and Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1972).
While serving as an Assistant Vice-President in the Trust Department
at Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company from 1985 until
1988, he returned to Georgetown University where he was awarded
an L.L.M. degree in Taxation in October, 1987. Admitted to
the New Jersey and Maryland Bars as well as the United States
Tax Court, Mr. Jones is a member of the Baltimore County, Maryland
State and American Bar Associations. His practice includes
estate planning and administration, business and individual
planning including taxation issues, real estate transactions,
tax free exchanges, nonprofit corporations, and subsidized
housing under grants and loans from the State and Federal Government,
including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) Section 811 program for persons with disabilities. He
currently serves as Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee
of the Presbytery of Baltimore. He is also an authorized agent
for several title companies and represents numerous non profit
entities.
