Thomas J. Renner

Mr. Renner is a graduate of the University of Maryland (B.S., 1965; J.D., 1970) who concentrates in the area of civil tax work before the Internal Revenue Service and in the Federal and State courts handling controversies of income, estate and gift taxation. Since joining the firm in 1973, his work has included estate planning and the preparation of wills and trusts, estate administration, business law relating to incorporation, liquidation and buying and selling of businesses, and a bankruptcy and insolvency practice for individuals and businesses. Mr. Renner's background includes three years with the Internal Revenue Service as an attorney concentrating in estate and gift taxation, and he has been a co-participant in National Business Institute programs relating to estate planning and Maryland probate law. Mr. Renner has served as a panel member on the Attorney Grievance Commission's Inquiry Committee since 1978 and was a member of the Maryland State Bar Association's Taxation Section Council (1981-84). Mr. Renner is a member of the Baltimore County, Maryland State, and American Bar Associations.
